that one time...

it seems that about once every three months I get super inspired and come up with at least ten blog posts that I would love to share with the world. Also, in that moment of inspiration I want to become that cool person who writes up weekly (or daily) blog posts that are inspirational in some way or another. The main things that have been floating around in my mind are my running and photography. With only 33 days left in the year (when I have completed my running goal) my mind has been filled with more and more ideas as to what to do with all my extra free time I'll have in my day next year. This list seems to be endless, from learning to play the guitar (drums, piano, or any awesome instrument) to getting better at my photography so I can actually make a little money at it. After writing and re-writing my list of plans I always come back to running. What will happen next year? Will I turn back into the lazy kid who doesn't know which direction he is going in life? Will I actually be where I envision myself in a year? all these things have been clouding my mind to the point where I seem to lose the ability to function normally in public. It doesn't entirely help that I have been focusing on saving what money I have for a computer and essential gear to take my photography to the next level. That above all has taken the most energy and thought cycles from my brain.

in the end, I will always come back to that one time when I ran 10 miles every day, through the stress, pain, constant tiredness, I realize that without it, my head would still be spinning and wouldn't know which way is forward

until next time...

Resolved

Resolved, living life resolved. Resolved to do what you ask? That is up to you but from this weekend I believe that I will be resolving to live life with the Gospel at the Center of my life and continuing to be a light in this world in my actions, words, and overall interactions with the outside world

Living life in Public

so, I read an article the other day on www.fstoppers.com about a photographer who takes pictures of the people around his neighborhood then writes a blog post about them, seeing as I carry my camera with me almost everywhere and I come in contact with people every day I want to do something like this, I'm gonna try and write at least one post every week (we'll see how this turns out) Stay connected by clicking the follow button and adding this to your RSS feed

Working on the perfect head shot

Head shots, they're hard to get right. Since my semi change in career (focusing on photography more than cinematography) I have been trying to figure out what type of photography I want to do the most. I have experimented with many different types of photography including portrait, landscape, nature, sports, and composition photography. Out of these the two that are working for me are sports and composition, though there isn't much money in composition, and the sports photography market is dominated sports illustrated. This gives me a lot of motivation to pursue more in the ways of portrait photography, my biggest challenge is working with models. I haven't quite got the eye for saying "turn your head this way, now tilt back this way" eventually I will get this down, I just need to work with more people... Hey!! on that note if you know anyone that wants portraits for free I need the practice, so while I'm learning I'll do portraits for free anywho advertisement over. Just figuring out what I'm going to do with my future and you get to hear my rants about what's going on hope you enjoyed this and eventually I will be getting on the path to posting on a more regular basis (i tried to upload a composition but the file size was too large ^_^)

Finding the right lens, and update on life

Lenses, they are fascinating if you really think about it. Over the past few weeks I have been getting information about an internship in the Philippines with Sword Productions. Also at the same time I have been learning as much as I can about photography and cinematography. Having taken in all this info, I have a much larger desire to do photography simply because it's easier to just grab my camera and go out and shoot. Once I finish my current project (organizing my family's  20,000 pictures) I will put up a page on this blog where I will be uploading pictures I have taken

At the beginning of the year I started down a road that was, in all honesty, completely unknown. on January 1, 2012 I started running, 10 miles each day to be exact. Im pretty happy to report that 700 miles later, Im still running and have no plans on stopping =)

This is a small update on what is going on in my life, I should be updating on a much more regular basis as I will have pictures to upload, no guarantee but that should be the incentive

Running down a new path

I am starting the new year 2012 with many new changes. To begin with, as I drove away from a new years party at 3 in the afternoon with only about 3 hours of sleep I took the first steps (literally) of my New years resolution, that resolution run 10 miles every day for an entire year. It wasn't until after I posted my Facebook status announcing this that I was informed that this year is a leap year so there are 366 days, so in total I will have run 3660 miles. A if running 10 miles a day wasn't enough I also started full time work. Getting up at 4am definately has to be the biggest challenge, but I'm glad to have the work. Another thing I am working on is the possibility of pursuing an internship with Sword Productions which would help me to gain the knowledge of how to produce a movie (which is what an would like to do) that's a small look into what's going in in my life right now, I hope to post more often, but seeing as with work and running I have much less free time
